The best reviews are honest, detailed, and respectful. Focus on your personal experience. Think about what you would want to know before moving in. A great review includes:
- Specific Details: Instead of "bad electricity," say "The power goes out 2-3 times a week for about an hour."
- Balanced Perspective: Mention both the good (Pros) and the bad (Cons). Every property has both.
- Actionable Insights: What is your final recommendation? Would you recommend a friend live here?
Trust is at the core of ShelterTree. A "Verified Reviewer" badge indicates that a user has completed our optional phone number verification process. This provides an extra layer of confidence in the authenticity of their review. While all community reviews are valuable, the "Verified" badge is a signal of a contributor who has gone the extra step to confirm their identity.
To maintain the quality and integrity of our platform, all new property submissions and some reviews go through a brief moderation process by our team. This helps us prevent spam and ensure all content adheres to our Community Guidelines. We typically review submissions within 24-48 hours. You can check the status of all your submissions on your My Contributions page.
